Spring Fishing Caddis are starting on the Yellowstone!!
The Mothers Day Caddis has arrived on time . I heard of a couple of good reports from yesterday of good dry fly fishing mainly thru the town section. This morning the river thru town looked pretty dirty but if you head up stream might be able to find some better clarity and hopefully some caddis. I am hoping that it will stay cool and not a lot of rain the next few days and the river should shape up for a few days of real good dry fly fishing. Keep your fingers crossed.
I was on the Big Hole yesterday with decent fishing although the water was a little off color . Mainly Browns in the 16 to 20 inch range.
I expect the big hole to fish well for a week or two as long as it doesn’t get to dirty. The Caddis should start showing up on the The Big Hole in the next 10 days or so.
